From Lost to Loved is a program designed to help keep pets out of the city shelter. Any pet entering the city’s shelter is not guaranteed an opportunity at adoption and may face euthanasia for space. Keeping them from the shelter not only saves their life but may provide additional time for pets currently in the shelter because they do not need to make space for a new intake.
Concho Valley PAWS operates at capacity and may not have room to intake a pet. But we want to help! If you have found a pet but have been unable to reunite the pet with his or her family, we can help you find the pet a new home if you are willing to keep the pet in your care during the process. While the pet is in your care and waiting for placement, PAWS can provide support and supplies such as food, crates, leashes, collars, etc.
Enrollment in this program is free. However, state law requires that all animals are spayed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being rehomed. PAWS will provide these services as necessary. We do request a minimum donation of $50 to help cover these expenses.
